Resurrection Sunday

Most people would agree that if Jesus rose from the dead, we probably should listen to Jesus. One of the primary evidences for the Resurrection of Jesus is the change in the twelve (12) disciples between Good Friday (day of Jesus’ crucifixion) and Easter (Resurrection) Sunday.

The twelve (12) disciples of Jesus were “scared little boys” on Good Friday when Jesus was crucified. After Easter morning, the disciples were ready to die for Jesus and they all eventually died for their witness of Jesus’ resurrection. The apostle John was boiled in oil and miraculously survived, only to be exiled to the island of Patmos where he received the Revelation. The apostle Peter was crucified upside down. All the other disciples suffered similar fates. The martyrdom of all the apostles is known from secular history.

People die for a lie everyday but these people do not realize they are dying for a lie. No sane person will die for a lie that they know is a lie.

What caused this change in the apostles between Good Friday (day of Jesus’ crucifixion) and Easter (Resurrection) Sunday. The simplest explanation is the disciples saw something that changed them. The simplest explanation for this change is that they saw the Resurrected Jesus.

Listen to Jesus, “it is good for the soul.”
